How we use your information

  • To schedule and confirm your notary appointment
  • To send your document checklist and appointment reminders
  • To contact you about your appointment
  • To maintain our required notary journal as mandated by California Government Code §8206

We do not sell your information to third parties. We do not use your information for marketing without your consent.

Notary journal records

California law (Government Code §8206) requires every notary public to maintain a sequential journal of all notarial acts, including the date, type of notarial act, type of document, signature of each person whose signature is notarized, the type of identification used, and the fee charged. This journal is a legal record and cannot be deleted upon request. Journal records are retained for the life of the notary's commission and may be subject to inspection by the Secretary of State.

Data storage and retention

Booking information submitted through this website is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud), a secure cloud database. Data is stored in the United States. We implement reasonable technical safeguards to protect your data.

Booking records are retained for a minimum of two years from the date of the appointment to support business recordkeeping and follow-up inquiries. You may request deletion of your booking record at any time by contacting us; the corresponding entry in the notary journal, however, cannot be deleted (see Notary journal records above).

Your California privacy rights (CCPA)

As a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you
  • Request deletion of your personal information (except where retention is required by law, such as notary journal records)
  • Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information)

To exercise these rights, contact us at angie@pacificsignatures.com.

  • The chat assistant provides general information about notary services and pricing only. It is not a licensed attorney and nothing it says constitutes legal advice.
